The wrong tire for you and your application can have very undesired effects. For instance, poor ride quality, excessive tire noise, general loss of wet and dry traction and poor steering and brake response. All of which is very important to your safety. A wrong speed rating or load index can even be dangerous for you. Tires have become very complex over the years. There is so much to know to get it right. Even more knowledge is required, if you attempt to improve on the manufacturer's choice (not handpicked for you).

The repair shop here gets the job done quickly and professionally, paying close attention to details. We adjust the air pressure according to the specifications and we have the expertise to address air pressure changes required, if you have installed larger custom wheels and tires, Very important! Our equipment is state of the art; yes it does make a difference! We Care! Our tire installers are well trained and can handle the most exotic custom wheels on the market today, using equipment that does not scratch your wheels on your expensive vehicle. 'This is definitely, not the same in many price oriented stores' Wheel balancing is done on state of the art balancers, the very same balancers we use on race cars, and exotic cars that frequent our store daily, your car will drive smoothly, not a given at all other stores. We hire skilled employees and pay higher rates to ensure, longer employment, and a happier staff that takes pride in their work. We are not a 'price only driven training facility' but rather a show case of talent that gives us the ability to produce the quality expected here at Stokes Tire Pros. New tires receive armor all dressing and wheels are hand-torque to specifications. We have at least three mechanics on site and whilst tires are being installed they are checking the condition of your brakes, CV boots, axles, shock and strut wear and tire wear patterns that can give an indication of alignment issues that may need attention. On that note, it is very fair to say, that we at Stokes tire pros recommend the checking of alignment when starting with a fresh set of new tires. Even the existing current wear on the old tires is not always a true indication for a salesperson to view. Because alignment wear develops over time. We do not know if any potholes or curb damage has just recently occurred. The old tires may have appeared to wear fine. Consequently, two or three thousand miles later you may have some excessive wear appear. Only a check can give your vehicle a clean bill of health as far as alignment goes.
A true alignment is good for you in many ways, because it can save you money in gas, for instance when your tires are rolling down the road pigeon towed or duck footed it causes extra drag, not to mention, unusual or premature tire wear. An alignment done correctly, and I emphasize 'correctly' not only returns the steering back to the way it was intended by the manufacture, but also corrects steering wheels not centered, influences handling, and optimizes tire wear. If you are a performance enthusiast if requested, we will adjust the alignment specifications to obtain better turn-in properties and more grip from the tires to allow higher cornering speeds.
